In this activity, the students will have a very safe fireworks display. They will make some paper fireworks. This will be fun especially for the students who are scared of real fireworks or for those who haven’t seen one before.
After this activity, the students are expected to make and decorate some paper fireworks to play with.

- Confetti: small pieces of colored paper thrown during a celebration.
- Fireworks: a device containing gunpowder and other combustible chemicals that causes a spectacular explosion when ignited, used typically for display or in celebrations.
- New Year: the calendar year just begun or about to begin.
The tutor will ask the students how they celebrate New Year’s eve and what is their favorite part of this event. Then, the tutor will explain that New Year’s eve celebrations vary in every country. In most cases, people would have dinner parties and fireworks events. Fireworks events light up the sky every New Year’s eve. Though it’s adorable, many kids are scared of it because of its exploding sound. So, in this activity, the tutor will help the students make paper fireworks.
The tutor will begin by going over the questions for this activity. Next, an overview on how the activity will be done will be given, together with the introduction of the vocabulary words for the lesson and the expectations during the activity.
