Before the activity starts, let the students think of one special person that has a strong connection to their lives. For a minute or two, ask the students to think of an image showing the best memory they have with that specific person. It can be a place, a thing, or an event. Then, ask the students the following questions: What relationship do you have with a person who came into your mind? What is the most memorable memory for you? Why is this person special in your heart? Ask the students if they have any idea about the difference between a rock and a stone. Rocks and stones are made of the same material. Rocks are composed of hard materials and can be found on the earth’s crust, while stones are formed by non-metallic materials and are usually the result of trimming down and polishing rocks. In terms of the physical aspect, rocks are bigger than stones. Rocks are typically described as large stones which make them hard to carry. In contrast, stones are lighter and easier to carry.
